In part 1, Scott & Christina arrive at camp for the first time after a long winter to see how things survived the long, cold northern winter and come up with a plan to get camp up and running again for the new mining season.

But before Scott & Del can mine, they have a mountain of repairs to the gold plant to complete... Will the shaker plant run again or was last season the end of it? When will they start mining? Will they find gold?
