"We are a design company working for a major stationery manufacturer, and for around three years we have been creating original products of our own. This year, we wanted to create truly Japanese products based on the theme of yuzen dyed fabric. We started with the stationery products, and set about creating business card holders and other products. The common feature of all the concepts is the yuzen pattern inside, and the lattice pattern around the edge."
"Then, this is very small, so it's difficult to see, but there is a pretty pattern of crests on the lattice. Our designs are characterized by the combination of these three elements, showing the beautiful patterns of yuzen fabric through a lattice."
Many people use a smartphone or an iPhone, and we thought it would be nice to incorporate apparel designs like these, so we created these covers for iPhones."
"There are huge numbers of different yuzen designs. Yuzen is unique to Japan, and we wanted to offer products that were well made, and made in Japan, to overseas customers too, so we collected a large number of different yuzen patterns to be able to show overseas customers the real meaning of Made in Japan. Patterns like this, which could almost be hung on a wall as art, have proved highly popular with overseas customers, so we intend to offer lots more like it."
